Ceremony music ideas?

Alyssa, on August 9, 2019 at 9:24 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 2
Hey everyone! I’m getting married in a church and I’m looking for organ music for the ceremony. I would love ideas that arent typically used but are still beautiful-nothing too sad sounding either, and something that would sound good on the organ (Obviously) Haha. Has anyone used or heard any non traditional organ processionals? (Still looking for classical music though!)
thanks!

Here are some good ones: Arioso by Bach, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Be Thou My Vision, either Ave Maria, Rondeau by Mouret

    Hey Alyssa!

Have you got any processional songs that you are already considering or love the sound of? That could be helpful so that I can hear what style of music you are into.

Some suggestions that I have for your processional are

Canon in D - it may be too traditional for what you are looking for, but I think it is an absolutely beautiful piece of music and sounds great on the organ.

Gabriel’s Oboe sounds beautiful on the organ also.
