Ceremony music - Help!

I’m having a really tough time deciding what music to play for our ceremony. Would it be weird to have only instrumental music before/during then have an actual song for the recession? Also is it weird to have classical playing while people are seated then country during? My goal for before the ceremony was to have instrumental so it’s not distracting and people can still talk amongst themselves. Same with during. Here’s what I have lined up:
Before: classical
Seating of mother’s/wedding party: then by brad paisley instrumental Bride: a thousand years by Christina perri instrumental Ceremony: better together by Luke combs instrumental (maybe)Recession: ????

I think that sounds wonderful Kayla!!
People frequently switch musical genres and between instrumental and lyrical music in their wedding ceremonies! Like you said, the prelude songs are background music anyway - so it makes sense for there to be a shift for the actual wedding songs! ❤️🎵

I am doing mostly instrumental. May do live piano while people are arriving and being seated and looking for a short song selection to either have sung by a soloist or a prerecorded version to play during our unity ceremony. I haven't decided on my recessional yet. But I have several songs that I like, so I'm sure I'll find one.
I think what you have picked out sounds great! Do what works for you and what you like!
