Ceremony Arch?!

Z, on March 19, 2010 at 4:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

Our friends had an arch at their ceremony and it looked nice. But they were out on a golf course type lawn so it seemed like they needed something to make it feel more closed in. We are also having an outdoor ceremony but there is a more clear "area" for the vows at our venue. I'll try to find a picture. I'm just wondering if it's necessary and if so, how do you go about getting one? Are there other options?

Hmmm, I'm a whiz at posting pics that are on the internet but don't know how to post personal pics from a camera. They're on my IB under venue if you would please take a gander and tell me whether you think an arch would be good. We will be standing up on the step with the mountain behind us, guests on lawn. Thanks!

I am also having an outdoor wedding. I found a heart shaped wedding arch at a florist shop. You can also find them at party rental places. My mom is doing the flowers around the arch to make it look nicer. You could also get big urns of flowers and put those on either side of you and that would look nice as well. If you are doing a unity candle put flowers on the table. Good luck!

We're having an outdoor ceremony, and like yours (though your page is restricted so I can't see your pictures) the area is well defined.. we're opting to let the site stand by itself to save money, since the alter pieces were going to be about $500 total from the florist.. there are alternatives if you want something but I found lots of inspir pictures where people had kept it simple and I thought it was nice.. I'd rather spend the money on things that would get more show time.

I don't think an arch is necessary but if you do want one just for an added touch you can rent them from hobby lobby. The one we're using cost about $150 but we're borrowing it from a friend. Our ceremony is in a big open space so we felt it was a necessity for us.

You can rent a wedding arch at any rental shop and have the florist decorate it.

Ok. I think my profile should be public now. Sorry about that!

The arch is something you can put in your garden after the wedding. I want one just so I am reminded of the special day forever!!!
