Ceremony and reception too far?

I don't think that it's too far away especially if you are offering transportation!

I would make sure that any guests that aren't staying in a hotel, but are using the transportation offered, have a place to leave their vehicles while at the wedding.

Since you are offering transportation, I think that is fine.

Not far at all! Our venue was about 45 minutes away, and even farther for some of my guests, but they made the drive and I didn't even offer any transportation. I don't think it will be needed for that far away.

The lady wedding I went to the reception was about an hour away. It was a Catholic ceremony in their parish, so it was understandable.
It may have been less than an hour because I set my gps to “avoid highways” on accident. At one point we went through a very run down neighborhood and started to wonder if we were being punk’ed.

No, I think that's totally fine especially since you are offering transportation. Just make sure it's ok for people to leave their cars at the church!
