Ceremony and reception months apart

Hi everyone! My husband and I had a covid wedding where only parents and siblings were able to attend and we did not have our reception. Once covid has died down a bit more, and vaccinations have increased more, we would like to have our reception. We had a videographer create a beautiful video of our ceremony that we have not shared. Our intention is to have a reception, and play the video at the start before we come out.


... is this weird? Has anyone done this yet or is planning to?

    I came to this post because I am in a similar situation and was going to create a post for "ideas" on a reception. We did not have a videographer, but that sounds like such a beautiful idea. I think it would really set the mood and think you should totally go for it!!

    You could play the video once the guests are seated, then have a big reception entrance right afterwards! 💖
