Ceremony and Reception in the same room transition

Caitlin, on November 23, 2019 at 8:40 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

Ceremony and Reception in the same room transition 1 We are having our ceremony and reception at the same venue (there’s a whole other area on the other side that the picture didn’t catch!) we want a smooth transition and we don’t want our guests to hear what’s going on while the caterer sets up. Any ideas on how to set up the room for a smooth transition? We could do a cocktail hour but the room where we would have it is way too small.

So with my wedding, we are also having the reception and ceremony in the same room! We are doing Oscar style seating for the ceremony to make the transition easier and then while we sign the marriage certificate the people will have cocktail hour but not everyone will go at once, there will be music playing and stuff while they are setting up the food and getting ready for the reception part of the night

Welcome to the community Caitlin! Your venue space looks really beautiful!

Have you thought about your guests sitting at their tables during the ceremony?

That looks so awesome! I’ve thought about it but we are worried about the caterer setting up the meal and being distracting
