Centerpieces

Mrs. Ariza, on March 13, 2019 at 10:57 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 44
I am torn between finding a florist or doing the decor myself. I have a few ideas for centerpieces etc but dont know where to start. I would love to just hire an event planner but by busget won’t allow me.

I'm using somethingborrowedblooms.com - you can rent silk flower bouquets, bouts, corsages, centerpieces etc.

I'm doing all my décor with the help of my mom, I didn't even get a quote from a florist. I just knew realistically it wasn't in my budget and floral is one the bottom of my "must have" list. So I'd bas it off of how important the floral aspect is to you, look at Pinterest for some ideas and get a quote from a florist to decide if that's something you're willing to spend on. Also, I hired a day of coordinator who has really been helpful over the last 3 months, maybe see about getting one!

We hired a florist to do our: arch, bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. I plan to do the centerpieces myself to cut costs. Instead of using a lot of flowers on the centerpieces we are going to purchase bulk wholesale from our florist of the flowers she is using for the rest of our stuff to put in vases as PART of our centerpieces. The rest of the centerpieces (still to be determined) will have other components: candles, greenery, glasses, etc.

If you are not opposed to silk flowers, they are a great option. There are a bunch of DIY YouTube videos for wedding centerpieces. They have helped me considerably. I just took a stab at my own creation and my fiance and mom loved them. Each table is going to cost me $25 - $30 (1 - 24" centerpiece, 2 - 16" centerpieces and 2-4 decorative votive holders). The bridal party and my bouquets will also be silk. It's a great keepsake that way. I still have mine from my best friends wedding 14 years ago.

I’m using FiftyFlowers to order mine and do them myself. They have bundles for good prices.

I will be using things around my house for my center pieces, making some and buying the rest. Our home decor matches our wedding theme and for the extra pieces I have to buy I can just use them as home decor.

Foam flowers and latex flowers look ridiculously real. That's what I intend to do!

My aunt and a few of my cousins are helping with centerpieces. We knew a florist would break the bank for our budget and my aunt worked at a florist shop before so she knows the tips and tricks thank goodness! If we didn't have her I'd be freaking out.

I plan on doing my own flowers and getting them from hobby lobby or micheals.
I'm not a flower fan, and I cant imagine spending that much money or real flowers just for them to die a few days later.
Flowers is on the bottom of my must have list
