Centerpieces, Smenterpieces...

Anyone else just NOT CARE at all about centerpieces? Like I don't want to spend any more money on something that ill just have to sell right after. Thinking about just spray painting random decorations I have gold, adding some votives and some greenery and calling it a day.

Im not into flowers as centerpieces either. If it’s not something you’re interested in then no need to spend a ton of money out of your budget for it. I’m doing laterns, preserved leaves, and mini pumpkins — I am using a florist. I am renting the laterns, that way I don’t have to spend money on something that will have no use after the wedding. It’s worth talking to a florist. My centerpieces are about $60/each. I think that’s worth it especially as it save me time and stress of assembling centerpieces myself!

I don't care about those, flowers, colors or decorations in general! All any of my guests will remember is the food and music, anyway!

I am doing a rustic theme so using wood slices in the middle with dollar store votives I glittered up and a mason jar with a few fresh flowers. Nothing crazy and spent like $100 or so. Rather spend the money towards other stuff like you said 😊.

If we weren't having a themed wedding, I likely wouldn't care either.

However, since we are, they are taking much more time and effort than I have. They will look amazing when I'm done but it's a lot of work to put in. Call it more than 5 hours per centrepiece and I am making ten.

Yes. Centerpieces and flowers in general are not high priority for me. Our centerpieces come included with our catering package and I've hired the same florist to do my ceremony flowers and bouquets and stuff. I'm sticking to mostly greenery and succulents to keep the price low. It came well under budget and that's all that matters to me....

Something past brides keep telling me is "don't stress over the small details, literally no one will remember them." And then I try to think about all the weddings I've been to and if I remember little details let alone centerpieces, and the answer is always no. I remember if the booze was free, the dancing was good, and generally what the venue looked like and that's it.

Ugh I ended up caring TOO much about them and agonized for weeks. Eventually I was able to put something together with some DIY floral arrangements, vases from Etsy and candles from quick candles. Wedding planning isn't done but I already know putting SO much stress on myself over the centerpieces is something I'm gonna look back on and find silly. I can't remember a single centerpiece from a wedding I've been to. At least they will look nice in photos!

I think some Dollar tree vases and Amazon has CHEAP flowers that are nice.

Yes I don’t care for that either but unfortunately my venue doesn’t offer centerpieces and knowing my family and his family they will want to see that stuff you can always have the dj make an announcement at the end of the party saying everyone please take a centerpiece that way it isn’t a waste that’s what me and my partner will be doing we will get the vases from dollar tree and real flowers from the florist or might just get the fake ones I’ll attach a pic of something you can do that isn’t to much money beautiful and yet simple

I hope there is something more exciting at my wedding than a freaking centerpiece!!! And so much better things to spend money and time and effort on, even if you get them from a florist or rent them vs DIY.

My centerpieces are flowers, but they are only $50 a piece, and the florist will assemble them and set them up on the tables. The containers for the flowers are also included, so guests can take them at the end of the night as well.

I hear ya!! We just happened to wander into a Hobby Lobby recently and practically the whole store was 50% off, so we grabbed some small lanterns and these tiny vintage style trunks. After agonizing about colors and flowers and themes I just had a "SCREW IT" moment and decided we will literally just pick grass and plants from the large family property where we're getting hitched, and lay them around those tiny focal points, along with some small votives (hello 100 pack for $3.50 from IKEA.) Done and done.

I wouldn't say i don't care but it wasn't the most important thing to me. we went simple. greenery, rented 3 vintage candle stick holders per table and a wooden block table number holder.

It's totally fine to not care about centerpieces!! Smiley laugh
A lot of my friends skimped on flowers in general and splurged on other things like a big band for the reception or guest transportation!

I have been collecting bottles...beer, wine..liquor and will spray paint them gold, rose gold and silver. I do not care that much about centerpieces either and this way I won't have to buy any vases. We are doing small arrangements with those and tea cups from the thrift. Plus our venue does not need a lot of decor. We also rented a flower wall for less than $200. Our flowers are from flower moxie for less than $350. I feels ya lol.

I've been obsessed with my centerpieces because I'm super detail oriented. All those tiny details make the whole magical. With that being said I signed my contact for table settings the this week and discovered I won't have as much space as I originally thought. Now I need to scale back a little. But still looking for the wow factor.

I don’t care to spend a lot of money or thought on centerpieces either. They just aren’t super important to me personally. We are reusing empty wine bottles (FH is a bar manager so those are free). We are going to put three bottles on each table surrounded by a couple votives and then we are going to get some lose roses and baby’s breath for the wine bottles.

You are right. It is pretty tiring and stressful to put a potted plant ($10) into an Ikea pot ($4). A lot of sweat equity.

My venue puts a rose in a vase on each table. I'm using four tops, so that's enough for me. I started collecting milk glass and other stuff for the tables, but I think I've already gotten bored with that. So I'm just going to provide them with the roses and lavender I'm using and sticking a small picture frame next to the vase. Simple.
