Centerpieces and TALL ceilings!!

My wedding venue is BEAUTIFUL and doesn't really need much at all but centerpieces are a big question right now. The reception area has really tall ceiling and an upstairs that will also have tables. Is it best to have tall centerpieces on some of the tables or all small?

Your venue is beautiful! And I would stick to short centerpieces so people can see eachother but that's just me

Short, please! You really don't need to do much with that gorgeous venue to look at.

At a recent wedding we were sitting down for dinner for about 10 seconds before we grabbed the centerpiece and moved it to the floor because it was exactly at face-level and we couldn't see the people we were talking to. Talk about a waste of money!

I think it would be great to have tall centerpieces because you can (not all venues work with tall centerpieces). There really isn't an issue of seeing people over them - the ones we are looking at are tall but thin at the bottom (so people can see past them) and very full at the top. We are doing a mix of tall and short. I am loving the tall ones!

Tall will work, just make sure you have tall / skinny ones that won't block conversation.

Our venue has extremely tall ceilings and a second floor as well. I figure tall centerpieces won't really add anything to the space. It doesn't matter how tall they are, they are miniscule in comparison to the room. We opted for a low centerpieces because there's nothing I hate more as a guest than not being able to see the people on the other side of the table.
