Centerpiece Mock Up- Feedback?

Andie , on March 24, 2019 at 1:57 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11
Found a great deal on mason jars and the grocery store had some really pretty sunflowers on sale, so I decided to do a mock up of a centerpiece. I’m getting married in October outdoors in a really pretty garden. I don’t necessarily have a theme, but love sunflowers and have planned colors and such around them. I really like how these turned out. Thoughts?

PS: the burlap is just taped on because it’s a mock up, how would you suggest attaching the burlap?

For the record, the wood boards aren’t part of it. Just stuck them behind for a picture Smiley smile

That looks lovely! I'd use hot glue to attach the burlap. 🙂

I think it looks lovely!! And I would agree hot glue would be the best bet for the burlap! 💕

Put them in the middle of the table and sit directly across from someone to check the height. If you can't see the person's whole face, they are likely too tall.

It's very frustrating as a guest to sit at a table and not be able to see everyone sitting at it for conversation. We've removed centerpieces that block views, and that changes the look you may be going for.

They look beautiful and romantic! But I agree with a previous poster that they might be a bit too tall and block guest’s views. I’d consider trying it without the wood block to shorten the flowers, or if you really want that tall dramatic look, maybe use taller vases so the flowers are elevated enough not to block table views.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I’ll have to test the height. I have them on a short end table in my living room currently. I’ll have to put them on an actual table.

That looks really pretty! I would use hot glue to attach the burlap to the jars.

    Hi Andie!

These are SO pretty Smiley love

Did you test the height? How did that go? Did you end up having to shorten them?

This looks so great Andie!! Well done!

Sunflowers are my favorite flowers also so I am in love with this!!

Perhaps if you tied a length of twine around the mason jars over the burlap to hold it in place and the bow that you tie could cover any sign of the tape? Do you think would work?
