Centerpiece Help

Meagan, on June 13, 2021 at 7:01 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6

Hi All!

So it doesn't look like we will have enough floral centerpieces for our reception. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do for centerpieces for the extra tables? Will the mix of centerpieces look weird?
I don't know exactly how many extra table we'll have yet, as we're still trying to get contact people who haven't RSVP'D yet (the deadline was 6/2) but I'm thinking we'll have at least 5 extra tables (we have 10 floral centerpieces as we originally anticipated having 10 tables at the reciption). We would have had to let our florist know by 6/2 if we wanted to add anything but since we didn't have a final head count we didn't add any, and honestly the budget is stretched thin enough.
Does anyone have any ideas of what to do for centerpieces for the extra tables (that's not too expensive)?

Mixed centerpieces are very common. You can put LED candles on the rest of the tables.

FiftyFlowers.com has many prearrangements to fit your color scheme at very reasonable prices like 8 centerpieces for a total of $115. You can then get the vases at Dollar Store.

Sorry, prearrangements for 6 are more like $350 total but the DIY packs are $115 or so.

You will have to review your contract with your florist because sometimes they will prohibit the use of other flowers because they don't want their work being confused for somebody else's. If your contract doesn't prohibit the use of other flowers you could DYI.

I originally wanted floral centerpieces but they were SO expensive for what I wanted, so now my mom made lanterns with a candle and seashells (beach wedding) inside the lantern and they look SO cool and were so much less expensive than the flowers. I’m sure you’ll figure something out that will be beautiful!

I think something like a candle arrangement might be really nice and fit in well with the the florals. On the "no flower" tables use more/bigger candle displays?
