Ok. My wedding is in a very not-so-fancy reception hall off to the side of a bar. So it needs some TLC. & if the money becomes available I'd like to do something like this. Image #1 is from FutureMrsWelch's post of her venue. I love the ceilings. Do you think this is possible in my venue, which is...

Maybe the wouldn't hand so low but we could cover the tile?!?

Added note, the tables won't be set up like this. & all of the chairs are going to be black. The red chairs will be put in the basement.

From what I've gathered, I think (depending on how much 'swag') you add about 10%-20% more fabric to get the desired amount...

Maybe get enough for one, and do a trial? (Since it's your Daddy's venue) and then order the rest?

I'd love to do a trail. I am sure he'd bring his ladder and help me. LOL. He's not working currently just piddles around up there thru the week. Our tulle here at hobby lobby is $1.79 a yard and I can't pay that price needing as much as I do especially knowing I can get it for 17 cent online haha. I will prob do a trail when I order it all. My photographer requested tulle anyhow so any extra is definitely going to be put to good use. LOL.

You definitely could do it. It will be spendy as you will need more fabric than you may realize....but it can be done.

You could also check out fabric on ebay or craigs list. I know a lot of girls sell their wedding matterials after the big day. I know I plan to sell all my center peices. Just a thought that might save you a penny or two.

P.S. I LOVE those ceilings. I really need to stop looking at all these awesome ideas or I'm going to have a million diy projects to do in the next 26 days Smiley smile

Check the shipping price on giftsintl. I got some satin from there and it cost the same price to ship it as they charged by the yard! In the end it was still a great deal just.... make sure you account for that! And you can add the item to your cart then fill out your address and find out the shipping cost before you put in your order. I used paypay for mine and it took about a week and a half to get here! Just to let ya know!

Yea, I went all the way thru the checkout process to get the shipping costs, i think its $16 total or something. Still way cheaper then getting it from a fabric store here. As everyone charges 110% more than that site.
