Any advice on processional entrance music for catholic caremony. I'm looking for somthing other than "here comes the bride" did anyone do somthing more modern? Instrumental piano or guitar?

Our organ player gave me an option of about 5 songs for the processional. I would talk to the music director. Canon D for me! It's my favorite!

I know this is over and done with for you, Gloria, but for anyone else searching, I totally recommend this (I'm a Church employee):

Meet with the priest or his delegate (at my church you meet with the coordinator) and find out the music rules. Each diocese and parish are very different. Find out if you must use their musician(s) or may supplement with approved musicians.

Either way, MEET with your musicians before, and do it in their office. Hear how they play songs recommended. What you hear on youtube is NOT how your music will sound, most likely. Example is that we will be playing "Love Came Down" by Kari Jobe only because our Church does a beautiful version of the chorus a cappella (frankly I hate the radio version of the song). You want to know that the music you're walking to and at your wedding is what you want to hear!

<3 I'm sure your music was lovely, Gloria! What did you choose? (I'm in the throes of picking, now, and our parish has very limited options, but we attend mass weekly there so we have ideas already.
