Catholic Church, Line up

Cecy Rg, on June 4, 2019 at 5:53 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
Hello Brides,

Having a Catholic wedding working on my line up, but I am not sure how it works, I did read some discussions were the bride comments that she is Hispanic, idk if it is different but I am Hispanic and wonder if its a little different. I have 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, 1 ring bearer, 4 flower girls. Open to maybe more paige boys positions a friend of mine told me about the pillows, rosary and bible.

So my question is about how is the catholic line up?

Also how the God parents enter the church? (Roles:Candle set)

Hi. I think you would have to ask the priest at your specific church.
I know ours talked to us about there being a variety of options for walking down the aisle (I think that's what you are asking??). Some options had the groom come down the aisle, some had him standing at the front to begin with, etc.
I have 5 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen. No flower girls/ring bearers. Never heard of God parents entering the church in a specific manner. However, if you want to incorporate them into a walk down the aisle I think you can probably do it however you'd like.
I imagine the priest will be in charge of getting the rosary etc. down the aisle. Just like at a regular mass, they will come down as a group. We won't be using our guests to do this, however we are not having a full mass.

    Not sure if that helped!

Hey! I'd love to help you out!

When you say 'line up', do you mean the processional order in the church? If so, you should check out this article that may be able to help you -

You sound like you have a laid back priest and quite frankly I am a little jelly. Ours didn't even want us to have the 2 bridesmaids/groomsmen we are having Smiley sad We can't have MOH or Best Man because if we did according to our priest they have to be Catholic and married by the Catholic church. So we decided to just go with 2 of each. I am calling one of my girls my MOH because she has helped with alot. But, in the church she is just going to be considered a bridesmaid. I hate that I am not able to have the wedding I want with the people I want by my side. & they can't even stand beside us their gonna walk and sit down. Its just ugh!
