Caterer soured my wedding.

Girl give them a bad review! If she has a manager, report her! You shouldn’t pay someone a bunch of money to be rude to you...girl she’d have a new job by the time I’d be done with her!

I am so sorry this happened to you. But you are married to the love of your life, so even though the day wasn’t all you dreamed, you do have that! 😍😍

I hear ya though, I would be livid! And I agree give her a bad review, people really pay attention to a companies reviews. Let her have it.

I agree BAD REVIEW- Everywhere. Better Business Bureau, and maybe write a letter to them and the local news/newspaper( just get copies of ALL letters sent!)

Try to recall the GOOD portions of the day/night. And know that everyone came out and supported you two. And now you are married to the love of your life and have time to have Good, extended, family dinners!

Try to focus on the good things from that day and write s bad review for this caterer. You will feel better when you do that. I would also call the owner and tell them.

I'm so sorry that happened, I can't believe the nerve of some people. I agree with PP's to leave a bad review and warn future brides and also go over her head to her superior if she has one. There is NO excuse for that. I really hope that you have more positive memories from your wedding than the memories of that horrible caterer. Either way, congratulations to you and your new husband, I know you have to be happy about that

Oh Yam, I am so sorry. I know how excited you were about her too. I agree with the bad review, there is absolutely no excuse for being rude to you or your guests. How dare she even consider putting your guests to work, they are there to support you!!!! I truly hope everything else went as you imagined and that you and Cye have enough happy memories of the day to overshadow that nonsense.

Thank you guys. Our guests blew me away with their kindness, I do still have good memories but I feel embarrassed and angry that these people came to see us get married and have a good time but the reception wasn’t even fun for them. Who could have fun while being barked at to go get food NOW? I just can’t believe this is a memory now.
Our ceremony was a dream and that’s the most important part. Our photographers were awesome too! They captured some pretty rare events like my father(a tough guy) hugging me. They managed to get some photos of me looking pretty, and you know that’s hard when you have poor self esteem. They did an awesome job.
The band totally stole the show, guests loved them, some want to book them too! I feel bad the caterer was treating them so rudely.

I want to do something to tell everyone how sorry I am because this just isn’t right.

Oh and our cake was amaaaazing. Absolutely perfect, so good review for baker for sure.

I would send them an email explaining all your disappointment, then leave reviews EVERYWHERE YOU CAN!

My mother is so angry at them that she wants to yell at them over the phone, trying to keep Mommy Fearest away from the phone, she’d eat them alive.

I’m too tired to make a new post right now but here’s a pic my husband took of the awesome cake our baker made. Not all vendors were bad! Guests took the gumpaste flowers home, “too pretty to eat”

I’m so sorry. My wedding day was ruined over some family conflict so I know it feels to have something ruin the peace of your big day. BUT focus on the love between you and your husband and the beautiful vows you took and give that nasty caterer a bad review🙃

What actually happened though? I feel like there is more to the story. So they didn't just show up, provide food, and stay out of the way? Were they a professional company? Did you read reviews before you booked them? Did you have a contract? How much did you pay them? When you leave your review, stick the facts, and don't be emotional. I would definitely ask for a refund. At the very least get some of your money back.

The caterer certainly fed my guests but the staff had an awful attitude, both her and her staff snapped at my guests repeatedly and even came up to my band while they were performing that “they need to come grab food NOW”, they were immediately flustered and stopped playing to grab a plate. This disrupted the reception and it just never recovered. The caterer was in a hurry to pack up when we still had her on the clock. She snapped at these people because she wanted her tablecloth and catering supplies packed up...like I said, despite she was still doing her job. She only wanted to serve my guests once then leave. We had her booked for X amount of hours, not until guests just get fed. No where in our contract did it state she could put up 25 plates and then leave early.

I don’t want a refund. We still had the food as leftovers so she did provide the food, but this is a rare case I feel she deserves a bad review to match her bad service.

Yam I'm sorry to hear that she was rude and totally obnoxious. That sucks but you married your best friend and after giving her a horrible review and posting pics of the plates left behind you should move on and celebrate your new life!
