I heard about this on the radio the other day. You enter in all the info about the event you are attending and poof! it magically tells you how much is "appropriate" to give. Out of curiosity, I plugged in info pretending to be a guest at my own wedding. According to this, my relatives should be giving us $360 which seemed crrrraaazzzzyyy high to me! Does it seem accurate for your area?

Aaaaaahh the cash registry! My personal favorite! Smiley winking

Always makes me think of the movie Bridesmaids when she's trying to sneak into the first class part of the plane... "Help me, I'm poor!"

Totally not against receiving cash, but IMO asking for it is crass.

Just did this for the wedding we got B-listed at and are going to, says we should give $200 to them. They didn't give to us at our wedding but came and we are driving two hours there. If I could just part with that amount like it was nothing maybe but I feel it is high and I would never expect that from a "casual" friend

@mallory ah yes, they should definitely have a "were you B-listed?" question

Lol it includes Canada too. I have no idea of how they fine-tune by region but I'm surprised Manitoba and Alberta give the same amount.

Haha. I was actually like $10 off for the wedding I just attended and what I gave. Phew. Crisis averted!
