Finalizing the menu with our caterer this weekend. We are going a buffet with a carving station and are not sure what type of meat to go with . Finalizing the menu with our caterer this weekend. We are going a buffet with a carving station and are not sure what type of meat to go with . We get to choose one of the following: prime rib, filet or strip . I am torn between which to choose. The proposal from the caterer does not go into much detail about each one just says that the one we choose will include all the accompliments. We have already chosen our chicken, fish and vegetarian options. Which of the 3 cuts would you rather have ?

Prime Rib!!!! You most likely will never find one that will please everyone but Prime Rib seems to be crowd pleaser.

They're all good, but I think prime rib is the best option for a carving station. The others could be dry.

Filet is the most tender and leanest but strip tastes best. Personally, I'd go with the strip. Definitely not prime rib.

I like all three, but given the option I'd 100% go for prime rib!

Update: We went with the prime rib and when we tried it at the tasting on Saturday it was amazing. Definitely made the right choice

I also like them all but if I HAD to choose, I'd say prime rib! I don't think you can go wrong here though.
