Carving Station: Prime Rib or Filet or Strip ?

Finalizing the menu with our caterer this weekend. We are going a buffet with a carving station and are not sure what type of meat to go with . We get to choose one of the following: prime rib, filet or strip . I am torn between which to choose. The proposal from the caterer does not go into much detail about each one just says that the one we choose will include all the accompliments. We have already chosen our chicken, fish and vegetarian options. Which of the 3 cuts would you rather have ?

I like filet! Some people can be turned off if the prime rib isn't cooked like they like it. The other 2 should be able to be made different temps.

I don't eat meat, but I asked DH which he would prefer and he said prime rib for sure.

Prime rib - probably the hardest to mess up and a lot of people might like their filet/strip cooked differently.

Filet. Prime rib is never cooked enough for me. Bloody meat - Yuck!

I love filet or prime rib! Prime Rib is very popular for carving stations.

I personally love a good filet, but I think a strip is more favorable to people. I would do some research and see what the more popular option is. Maybe ask a few of your guests that you are close with what they like best.

I would do prime rib. If it’s a carving station, the meat won’t be cooked to order and prime rib is the best option for roasting a large piece of beef.

To be honest - I like them all I know that isnt very helpful. I'd probably like prime rib the most though
