I've heard that a lot of people dislike carnations at weddings. Why so? I think they're so gorgeous and I would want them in my wedding unless there's really some reason as to why they're hated so much.

Carnations have come a long way since your mother's wedding. Some of them are really quite beautiful. Google image "carnations". You'll see what I mean.
