Card Box

Are you having a card box? I know some mentioned getting a box with a lock of having someone guard it. I was thinking about going with this but I’m kinda leaning towards something else. Also, the card box will be at the table right next to us instead of outside in the foyer area.

In our families and social circles, it’s common to have a regular basket on the gift table at the reception entrance. No one gives cash so there isn’t any concern with cards being stolen. We attended a wedding once with a bird cage for cards on the gift table and no one knew what it was for.

What do you mean by regular basket? Like a basket to put actual gifts in?

Wrapped gifts go on the table which is usually a long single banquet table that would seat 8 people covered in a tablecloth. A flat open basket is what loose cards go into for those who don’t bring a physical gift.

Something similar to this that doesn’t cost more than $5-10 max at Joann or Target and can be reused as home decor.

We had a card birdcage, that was placed right next to our table and within view of where my parents were sitting so I know it would be safe. I also didn’t think that anyone I invited would steal from us, but I’ve definitely heard that it has happened unfortunately.

It’s really nice! I like how you included cards on it so your guest knew what it was.

I don't remember how exactly he did it, but yes, it worked for the day. I think my husband kept the keys in our bridal suite at the venue.

I am definitely leaning towards something on the cheaper side for sure.
