Can’t get in touch with vendor

Hi ladies! So the other week we had decided we wanted a live band, which meant we would have to cancel our DJ. No problem right? Well, I’ve been trying to contact our DJ since last week—via email, text to the owners wife who handles the contracts, phone call (never even rang, went straight to some google voice message), and social media messaging.


This is super annoying, and from the looks of the owners Instagram page he doesn’t even have his DJ company listed on his bio anymore. Only a podcast that he created, produces and co-hosts. The page for his DJ company has posted 0 since January on both FB and Instagram. I’m assuming the worst that they are shut down. Which means we lose our deposit... so be it. That was gonna happen anyway since we were going to cancel them.
Silver lining: glad i found out now instead of right before the wedding!

    I'm so sorry Rachel. Have you heard anything from them in this last week? Is it possible they are swamped with couples trying to reschedule their weddings right now? I'd try to give them some grace right now as they are probably handling a lot of calls. Do you have a deadline in your contract by which you need to cancel?

    Unfortunately some vendors drop off the face of the earth with no warning or forwarding contact info. If after multiple attempts to contact them, you still can't reach them, just start looking for someone else asap.
