Can’t decide if i want a black dress or a white dress....

What about a short black reception dance so you can dance

Honestly you should go with whatever makes you feel the most beautiful. That being said, if you can fit it in you budget you could always do both. The white dress for the ceremony and the black for the reception. That way you get both looks but don’t end up regretting not choosing one look over the other

Black is so elegant and you are not alone, i have seen recently beautiful black gowns maybe you can do two dresses buy the black one and maybe get a sweet boho chic, I like that idea of the beautiful top and a flowy skirt

I don’t know your style but these were less then 35 on amazon.

If you feel like yourself in black, then you should definitely go for the black. I've seen black wedding dresses and they look amazing. Go for it!!

If it's in your budget, I also think getting 2 dresses is a great compromise. But if not, I recommend trying on several in both colors and trusting your instincts about what feels like "your wedding dress". It's impossible to predict the future and know how you'll feel down the road, so all you can do is focus on how you feel right now and what dress makes you feel the most beautiful on your special day.

I have really pale skin and white/ivory usually looks horrible on me so I went into dress shopping looking for a dark blush/champagne or other more flatteringly colored gown, but ultimately didn't feel "bridal" in the darker colors and went with an ivory gown after all. But that was just my experience and isn't true for plenty of brides.

Hi Amy. I myself am looking for either a black or red wedding dress. Just be aware, at least in my area, unless you go online, it will probably be very hard to find wedding dresses specifically in color. I will not buy a dress that I cannot try on first. Just can’t do it. If you are ok with doing online, there are a ton of stunning dresses in black. Good luck on you journey and keep us posted ❤️

I agree that you could definitely do a white ceremony dress and a black reception dress (or vice versa) if it's in your budget. You could also get a white dress and detail it with black accents or look for dress that has both black and white elements.
Ultimately, it's up to you and what you feel most confortable in. Try all your options and see what you makes you feel the best.

the problem that comes to mind with two dresses is, wouldn’t I only be wearing the white dress for a very short amount of time? Is it even worth spending money on a dress I’ll wear for like 30 minutes? Haha

I wonder if something like this over a white dress would look good? I like Alexis’s idea of getting black detailing on a white dress too!

Same girl, same. I've ultimately decided I'm wearing a white dress for my ceremony and most pictures. Then I'll be changing into a (lighter) black dress from lulu's. It's only 88 bucks too!
