Cancelling our wedding. What do i do with my wedding dress and veil?

SO - due to Covid restrictions now in place in New Jersey, we are cancelling our March 2021 wedding. We will likely be going the city hall route, instead. I spent a ton of money on my [dream] wedding dress and veil that I absolutely adore - but feel I would look absolutely silly going to City Hall...

SO - due to Covid restrictions now in place in New Jersey, we are cancelling our March 2021 wedding. We will likely be going the city hall route, instead.

I spent a ton of money on my [dream] wedding dress and veil that I absolutely adore - but feel I would look absolutely silly going to City Hall in it. As a Covid bride, having everything taken away, I feel like I can't let this pandemic take my dream wedding dress moment away, too! Would I look like an idiot if I wore them??

For those of you who are pivoting and changing up your wedding - what are you doing with your wedding dresses?!

Just wear it you look great and the day is supposed to be special and even though COVID messed with your day you can still wear the dress of your dreams and I think it’ll make the day even better

Definitely wear it!!! And I love the limo idea mentioned too!!!! Have some champagne on the way! Do a special first look at home!! Lean into it! Use your photographer! It is not the story you wanted but you will have QUITE a story to tell your grandkids or friends when you guys grow old together!!! Personally, I'd even take some funny mask pictures. You look beautiful, it will be such an amazing day no matter what!!!!

Wear it if you’re comfortable with the idea! But if you decide to go more low key for the courthouse, you should definitely still take pictures in your dream dress! Photographers do bridal sessions separate from the actual wedding all the time! It can be a fun memory with you and your new husband and help you still feel like a bride! That’s basically what I’m doing for my covid wedding and I’m honestly so excited! Btw your dress is stunning!
