My wedding was supposed to be 5/2/20.

Despite the shutdowns we were going to get married and had a back up plan with the venue.
Yesterday our venue shut down completely— went bankrupt.
I’ve heard nothing from them. I was given no information, notice, apology.
I’m 12k in the hole with no clue what to do!
PS if your wedding is at The International you should be aware of this too!

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that Jennifer! That's a whole other level of stress on top of everything else right now! How did you learn about their closure? Was it covered by local news?
Hopefully they're reaching out to clients individually 🤞, keep us updated!

I only found out because I also work there! They still haven’t contacted anyone. Now there are news articles and that is how couples are finding out. Sterling National Country Club reached out and saved my wedding!

That is absolutely horrible. It's hard to think what would make me feel worse about how Covid-19 is ruining our wedding but being out $12k with no option to postpone would have been the nail in the coffin. I'm so glad that you found an alternate venue. Are you still getting married on 5/2?
