Can we talk grooms/groomsmen attire?

So I trust FH to a degree lol, but I pretty much invited myself when he snd his party go looking for their suits/tuxes? But my issue is that i’m a bit confused which brings me to my main question(s), are they supposed to be wearing suits or tuxes? Is there a huge difference between the two? Is one...

But my issue is that i’m a bit confused which brings me to my main question(s), are they supposed to be wearing suits or tuxes? Is there a huge difference between the two? Is one more formal and the other casual? Literally I have no idea, anyone have advice or some insight?

    Like PPs have said, tuxes are for more formal weddings. My FH & his groomsmen are buying suits for our wedding! Macy's & Belk have super great sales on suits where it comes out cheaper than renting, and they'll be able to keep them! We're going with a medium blue that's a little lighter than navy. FH & I picked out the suit that all them will wear.

    I think it depends on the style of the wedding and what you are going for. I've seen both!

    We went together but I pretty much left the entire decision up to him. Even though we want our wedding to be more formal, we were both sure we didn’t want a tux because neither of us like the way the satin looks. He decided on a dark gray suit and his grooms men will be in light grey suits
