Can I password protect the RSVP Page?

The NEW Mrs. Q, on March 21, 2010 at 11:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

I'd love to use the online RSVP option, but I'd like it password protected, so online "guests" can RSVP.

    Yes you can password protect it but I think it protects the whole site.. if you go to you main website editing page and twards the top it says add page, add app, then one other click on add app its in there.. Smiley smile)

    Hmmm I may password protect when I send out my invitations. I REALLY wish it was per page!

    You can always try it but the explination it gives you it sounds like its for the whole page..Personally I'm not using the password.. I just can't see people going around all willy nilly RSVP'ing just for laughs.. ya know?? but maybe I have a bit more faith in people than I should...lol

    Mrs. Q: I wish we could password protect individual pages, too! I just don't want people stumbling onto our travel info when it's a DW with a very small guest list--I don't want people to feel bad about not being invited. I'll probably un-protect it after the wedding and take down the travel info stuff so everyone can just see the photos then.

    @malinda I don't think it will be people, playing around. I think it will be those that didn't get an invite and don't know etiquette that think "oh let me go ahead and respond, because I'll be there"

    @cabell, that's probably a good idea!

    While if they are not invited they can't invite themselves. What are they going to do type somebody's name in who said they are not coming and change the RSVP? that just don't make sense.

    Maybe i'm not sure how it works, but I thought they could just type in their name and rsvp yes.

    I'm mostly worried about people that may ASSUME they were invited, see the website and go "oh great, let me respond"
