Can I make an autograph/guest book with Shutterfly?

Teems, on September 9, 2009 at 7:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I have been playing around with shutterfly.com using their photo book option. I am trying to make a guest book. I have no trouble inserting the pictures, but how can I designate a place for guests. I want ruled lines on the paper and not just plain empty space to write. I hope that makes sense.... lol I want it to be an autography/photo/guestbook. Is that possible?

It sounds like a great idea! I've never really been on Shutterfly so I don't know if it's possible! Hopefully someone here can help you because I think it's a cute idea!

I know its possible to make one, however, I'm not sure you can put lines it. My photographer showed me one that they make and it just had blank areas for people to sign around the pictures. It's a really good idea though. We are either doing a photobook like that for people to sign or getting one of our engagement pictures framed with a large matte for people to sign. We don't want the average guest book because we will never look at it again. We want to be able to see everyone's warm wishes all the time.

    I think that's a great idea!

I use Shutterfly frequently and they don't have where you can overlap pictures or have a "ruled paper" template.

But if you go to the Community section, you may find links where you can purchase templates (online-scrapbooking)-You'll even be inspired to add some funky pages.

I think leaving it blank or a soft color might work better for you (more room for people to get creative when leaving you a message-writing diagonally, pics, etc)

I agree! jlpurce.... Konichiwa, you should do it!

It looks like my have to settle for the blank spaces around the picture. :-/ Unless someone has a better site or solution. I don't have much time though to decide. I am kind of late with this. lol

    Thanks!

I think those framed matted pics like jlpurce mentioned are cool too! I was thinking since right after the wedding I'll be moving 1000 miles from Tucson AZ to Houston TX that it would be a cute idea to instead of having a traditional guest book that I could have everyone fill out a rolodex card or even have an address book to sign so that I'll have everyone's addresses and information so I can keep in touch!

One thing you could do is scan a piece of lined paper (or take a photo or find a graphic file with just lines) and then add it into your book as if it were a photo.
