My soon-to-be husband and I are not have a ceremony. We plan to sign papers and have a nice dinner with a few close family members and friends. We are going to Italy for our honeymoon and I was hoping to have pictures taken in a wedding gown there. Is that acceptable? It sounded like a great idea...

It sounded like a great idea until someone commented about it's a bit silly to do pictures in full wedding attire without a "wedding." Would like some other non-biased opinions. Thank you!

When I lived in Italy I saw people taking wedding pics in their wedding attire everywhere (Southern Italy). It was charming. I visited a lot of castles and it was common. So I think you will be fine. Celebrate your life the way you want.

DO IT!! DO IT!! DO IT!!
Get the beautiful photos that you want, and don’t ask anyone else. I’m doing the same. small ceremony, little dinner leaving for honeymoon but I’m also having a wedding photo shoot. Who cares what anyone thinks about it being silly. If you change your mind based on what other people think you will kick yourself later. They’re just jealous because there not in Italy taking bomb ass photos in a beautiful wedding dress. I love the idea.
