Can anyone id this font?

MrsNerd, on October 7, 2016 at 11:14 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 22

Anyone know what font the word "welcome" is? I don't know why I can't find it and I'm going nuts!

I've been looking for the same font that I saw on a very similar sign. Minted uses it on some of their invitations, I thought about emailing them to ask. Please post if you find it.

You can buy that sign off of Etsy. Just message the shop and ask them. They will probably tell you.

Is that painted on or sticker letters. I wanted to DIY one of our chalkboards to always have as a sign.

Not sure @Leah, found the picture on Pinterest. There are a few on etsy too. I was going to paint.

But given that I have a week left, @O&L good point lol. I guess my guests won't care what font the welcome sign is in.

This font is type of scripted font is very popular. I can't tell exactly which font it is, but if you look on www.creativemarket.com you'll find all kinds of fonts like that one. I use the website all the time. It's definitely not "Dragon is Coming," though.

Fonts like that aren't free, though. But, they aren't very expensive, either.

I used what I think is very similar for some of our wedding stuff. Adelicia, purchased from Creative Market (one of my super fav sites for all kinda good stuff). Here it is on our cocktail menus I made.

I don't think it's Adelicia. Adelicia has a loop in the O and this doesn't. Here is a pic of Bombshell Pro. The squiggly lines were added using the glyphs that come with the full paid version of the font (it costs like $54 so if you paid less you don't have the full font, I don't have it because I'm cheap lol I just have the basic free sample version.) If you have the full paid version of you can access the glyphs in fontbook if you have a mac.

@Brooklyn your sign looks awesome!! Thank you, I'll take a look at that.

@2years you're right - I realized I have bombshell, but FH says he has bombshell pro and it's a little different.

    Thanks all!

If your going to diy, you can always print it large and cut it out to copy onto a sign?
