Can 60” rounds fit 10 people?

Lyndsey, on September 9, 2019 at 1:25 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14
My event rental place told me the 60” rounds can seat 8-10, and we need it to be 10 to fit everyone and inside our tent. But then I saw a pic of 8 chairs around a table that size, and it didn’t look like anymore would fit. It’s not a fancy meal with these huge place settings or anything. Has anyone sat 10 at 60” rounds before? Was it comfortable?

We are having 10 people at 60" round tables. I think it will be fine. Most people will only be sitting for dinner anyways so I'm not too worried about it.

I’ve been to a wedding where they did that and it wasn’t comfortable, everyone was pretty squished and couldn’t really move without hitting elbows.

They say 8-10 but 10 is very uncomfortable. Also, think if you have any larger guests. They will definitely not be comfortable. Getting up and down from the table is a hassle with 10 people around it and there is very little elbow room. Technically you can fit 10 chairs but that's squished. We sat 8-9 people per table depending on who was at the table. And 9 was pushing it.

I've considered 10 to a table, but I also saw photos of 8 at a 60" and I think that's the maximum that I want. Don't want everyone bunched together.

10 will not work unless every person is rail thin.

    It will not be comfortable.

I was trying to put 9 and it will just not work based on the sizes of the adults that would be sitting there.

We are having 60 people at our wedding. We ordered 7 60” round tables. There should be about 8-9 per table.

You can fit 10, it just isn't comfortable.

Like PPs have mentioned, you can fit 10 people, but not comfortably. I would stick with tables of 8.

We had one 10 person table and they survived. I did plan it so the most crowded table was young agile people (no one with limited mobility and not anyone from my tall side of the family who would have long legs to grapple with!). We were advised that it is doable for a simple meal but not for a more involved meal (think: cutting steak, cracking lobster — anything involving elbows!), but chair size and person size should be considered and factored in as well. Our tables were mostly 8 or 9 person and those seemed comfortable. The 10 person table was tight, but we managed. We also made sure to give that table plenty of space — worse than being crowded around a table was the wedding I went to where the tables were too close together. I’d much rather sacrifice elbow room to be able to scoot back and have space to walk around the tables!

I literally JUST asked my venue coordinator this question last week! Lol. She told me that 10 people can be sat at a 60'' table but it won't be comfortable. Smiley sad Best of luck to you!

Our venue provides 60" rounds for up to 8 people (includes centerpiece, full place setting, glasses, etc). They recommend using 72" rounds for 9 to 10 people.

Yes! We used 60" round tables and some of our tables had 10 guests. They all fit comfortably.
