Calling people day of rsvp due date

Martha, on August 9, 2019 at 1:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
We will be meeting with our venue Tuesday, and our due date for rsvps is Monday. Is it appropriate to call on Monday if we didn’t get their rsvp? Maybe some people sent it the day of and we wouldn’t see it in the mail for a few days. It’ll help when ordering food with our venue if we have close to an exact number. We are currently missing a little over 25 rsvps. Is it ok to call or should I wait until the end of the week.

I'd say you can call if you need numbers

People say to wait a few days in case someone put it in the mail on your RSVP but we didn't. We called the day after, so I think the day of is fine. For the record, we didn't receive any in the mail after that so it's not like we bothered someone who sent it already.

It sounds like you need the #s so it's ok to call

We were in the same situation actually, our RSVP date was on a Wednesday and we had a meeting with our venue the next day. We didn't need the EXACT final count but we needed a pretty accurate idea so we could decide whether or not we could afford any upgrades. We contacted guests that didn't RSVP the day the RSVP was due
