Calling all Vintage/antique and heirloom rings!

Julie, on June 21, 2020 at 10:35 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 3 31
Hi friends! Just another ring post but I was curious how many brides had rings witH both history and bling? Mines from 1910, champagne oval diamond (it changes color with lights), set in platinum with 14 side diamonds set in platinum but also yellow gold? Post as many pics as you want! All angles! Let's see how these were made back in "the day" 😁

It’s not very clean and not the best pictures but my ring is from the 1930’s and has a European Cut diamond and is Platinum instead of gold with Emeralds on each side.

Mine is from the 1940's also set in platinum! I'm not sure what the specific cut is to the top of the diamonds but it is very unique. Hard to see well in photosCalling all Vintage/antique and heirloom rings! 9

The diamond is vintage, the band is handmade (shown with handmade wedding band)

I LOVE all the details on the sides with the inset diamonds (mine has that too!) and the emeralds are so special! Don't you love the low profile setting, too? So pretty! Thanks for posting!

How beautiful and geometric! So special! I think they were experimenting with Platinum in the early decades of the 20th century. It's really beautiful and just as lovely from the side!

Every time I see your ring I swoon a little. I LOVE the nature element of it so much, and the diamond is so pretty. And I also so love your wedding band. It's really just perfect together!

Thank you so much! I got married back in February, but I'm not going to wear a band with it. It would be hard to fit (and I'm too OCD for the gap). Also, I think it's pretty by itself and signals just as much "I'm taken" as a wedding band. Lol

Yours is beautiful as well!!Yes! I do a lot of stuff with kids and what not so the low profile is amazing! I absolutely love the emeralds and FH ring was custom made to match mine. Green is his favorite color! Here is a picture of them together.Calling all Vintage/antique and heirloom rings! 15

Mine is from the 1920s. 13 diamonds in white gold. It's not really what either of us wanted and I'm terrified of damaging an heirloom, so I don't wear it.

Vintage diamonds but new setting! They came from my FH's grandma. Not sure how old they are because they came from a set of earrings (each grandson got one earring).

It's hard to photograph, but my favorite part is around the base of the main diamond, the accents are shaped like little leaves with much tinier diamonds!

My ring is a family heirloom diamond of my grandmother’s on a new setting picked out by my fiancé. My mom gave him the ring to use the diamond and she kept the original gold band because she and my grandmother have tiny fingers and it wouldn’t have even fit on my pinky finger. Anyway, backstory is my grandmother had lost her original engagement ring and my grandfather and mom (when she was a little girl) went and picked out a new ring for her. This way I have something picked out by my mom, grandfather, and my fiancé all in one special amazing ring. My mom kept the original band to put a new stone in so she could keep a piece of her mom too. 💕

Mine was my grandmother's. It is from the 1940s and is also set in platinum.
