What country songs do you plan to use during your reception, and for what? Here are my top picks!

First dance: Your Everything by Keith Urban

Father-daughter dance: I Loved Her First by Heartland

Mother-daughter option: Somebody’s Hero by Jamie O’Neal

Mother-son dance: If I Didn’t Have You by Thompson Square

*BONUS POINTS* if you have ideas for a “get the party started” first dance for all guests and/or a “let’s wrap this up” last dance of the night song!

Oh my goodness, you put Keith Urban in your top picks and I LOVE you for it! He's mine and my mom's absolute fave- seen him in concert 5 times now!

Anyway, I am a huge country lover. Some fast-paced country songs will be played for dancing (Including cotton-eyed Joe, of course!) But I have a few for the special moments-

Ring on Every Finger by LoCash for the recessional

I loved her First by Heartland for daddy/daughter dance

The Rest of Our Lives by Faith & Tim for the anniversary dance!

Dan and Shay's new video for their song made me BAWL too- but I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the song! EDIT: It's "Speechless" and I highly recommend watching it away from people because I bawl like a baby!

Yayyy nice choices! Ring on Every Finger is a great one! Smiley heart (Super jealous you've seen KU so many times!!)

I'm lucky that I work at WeddingWire, where tearing up at your desk is not frowned upon because of all the love! Tissues at the ready and looking up the Speechless video in 3...2...1...

He's so great in concert, really has fun and makes sure the audience is too! The last show we went to, he read a sign from a couple that's getting married this month and they asked him to come to the wedding and sing "Making Memories of Us" cause that'll be their first dance song. He said "Well, I can't make it to the wedding, but come up here." And he played it for them while they danced on stage! Smiley cry I teared up for sure. I hope I can meet him some day!

I watched it at home, my FH came out of the bedroom and saw me crying and went "What's wrong?" And I just turned my phone around to show him! Lol! It's sooooo sweet.

We are doing our first dance to Yours by Russell Dickerson! It was honestly one of our very first wedding decisions. Country music and weddings just go together!

I'm walking down the aisle to a piano cover of "Keeper of the Stars" by Tracy Byrd.

Our first dance song is "Me and You" by Kenny Chesney.

Definitely want to play some older country at dinner/cocktail hour including the new song "Speechless" by Dan and Shay!

Also obsessed with "She's got this thing about her" by Chris Young FH favorite artist! Def want to play that at dinner, too!

Father/daughter dance is still up for debate!

FH friends like to line-dance, real southern folks! So we are also playing "Copperhead Road" by Steve Earle to get the party started!

We also plan to do the anniversary dance to "From the Ground Up" by Dan and Shay. I think it'll be sweet with all of the couples on the dance floor.

We are ending the night with the actual version of Keeper of the Stars so its the first song FH sees me walk down the aisle to and then the last song we dance to at our wedding!

I'm a huge country fan, and FH likes just about any music, so we're going to have a lot of country songs going on, lol.

Our first dance is going to be "Right Where I Need to Be" by Gary Allan.

None of the others have been exactly pinned down yet Smiley xd , but we will definitely have Josh Turner's "Would You Go With Me" and Brett Young's "In Case You Didn't Know" at some point.

We are huge country music fans. For our cocktail hour which includes lawn games we are having country music played, not sure of the playlist yet. For our first dance we are dancing to Luke Combs Beautiful Crazy. We will also have Lee Brice I don't dance and Brett Young In Case You Didn't Know in there somewhere for slow dances. It is both of our second weddings so we aren't doing the traditional parent dances but I am dancing with my 14 year old son to Rascal Flatts My Wish. Makes me tear up ALL THE TIME!
