California Wedding in 16 Days Amid Coronavirus!

Faith, on March 12, 2020 at 1:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

Hi guys hoping for some feedback. Unfortunately I live in Southern California where some cases of Corona-virus has been reported. We have family traveling from Washington and Illinois and also have family members at "High Risk" concern for catching the virus that are in my immediate family and wedding party. Our wedding is on March 28th in Orange County and we are expecting 160 guests none of which have cancelled yet, but my fiancee and I are super stressed and concerned about our loved ones. Money isn't my concern as much as my brother in laws health and other family members. I feel like we couldn't cancel due to so many people still traveling here for the event, but I don't know what to do to make my at risk guests feel safer. Literally do NOT know what to do. Freaking out! Any advice or feedback?

This is what a lot of us are dealing with so first of all I'm sorry and I feel for you. We are April 11th so have a bit more time but not by much to decide.
Talk to your venue and vendors about a plan b. Go forward with your plans unless key guests are unable to come or there are travel/event restrictions. If this happens then look into postponing

You could also reconfirm with your guests about their RSVP. That way maybe you can adjust any final counts or anything if still possible
