Hi! I am getting married this weekend, and our custom (read- expensive) cake topper arrived today. Its beautiful, but it's very small- just under 5 inches. I am afraid that it will look totally ridiculous on the three tier cake. I'm not 100% sure what size the top tier is, for now I'm guessing 6 inches. Does anyone have any thoughts on this??

If your top tier is 5-6 inches you should be fine. My cake artist was concerned that the topper I picked would be too big. She said rule of thumb the topper should be slightly smaller than the top tier diameter for proportion.

I had Funko pops and those are small and my cake was also three tiers. I think it'll be ok because it's on top and people will see it

Our cake topper was about 5-6" and this is how it turned out. I think 5 is usually pretty standard for toper sizes.

Here is the topper, with a base that we purchased after it arrived (the standard party cup is for size reference).

The topper itself looks great! I think the size should probably be ok too, and a little too small is probably better than too big. Would love to see pics of it on the cake after the weekend!

That’s the typical size regardless of overall cake size. They are usually only 5-6” because of the top tier width!

I remember feeling like ours was dinky too when it came in the mail! However, it was perfect when they put it on the cake!

I love your topper, it's going to look great on your cake. Toppers need to be proportional (or close to) the size of the top tier. But if you feel like you need more, the stand and some florals will be a nice touch.
