Cake Table

Toshea, on September 26, 2012 at 4:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I have been browsing through multiple wedding magazines and came across this image. I was wondering if anyone has ever come across this wedding cake table? Is there a way to DIY? What is this table called?

Looks like a regular glass top table with flowers added to the tablecloth.

Totally looks like you can DIY

Awesome! Thanks guys! I just hope that if I did it myself, the table wouldn't fall over Smiley winking

I'd bet it's just a big foam donut with the flowers stuck in sot hat it's all covered up... if you have time, there are always glass coffeetables at garage sales that are all beat up and nasty on the bottom, but with perfectly fine glass.

THe pedestal can easily be DIYed. Just have someone build you a box, put some brick in it so that it doesn't buckle from the weight of the cake. As far as the bottomof the table, that could get a little trickier. Als, with flowers on a cake, you need a spacer. See below. I would bring the cake inspiration with you to the baker and see if they can put the cake on the separators.

For my daughter's wedding, I had to hire her florist to decorate her cake. I bought the pedestal(22" round). We made the votives and all of the BM bouquets were placed here once they were announced. I dont have pics of that though.

    Good luck!

I just took a second look, for the flowers, your baker would have to leave a nice sized ledge for the flowers.

My cake table. Looked kind of like that. I didn't do it but I'm sure it can easily be a DIY. Here's a pic.
