Cake Server Set....ALTERNATIVE

Hi Everyone!

We're not having a traditional wedding cake or cupcakes. Our cake will be made of cake balls or cake poppers. Does anyone have any suggestions on an alternative to the cake server set? It would look a wee bit odd to cut a cake ball with a long fancy knife. I fear it'll roll off of the plate or something.

Any ideas of how we can pull this off? Here's a sample of the what the cake will look like. The foam cake dummy will be covered in fondant.

Maybe you can just pop off a couple of balls to feed each other. But I think whoever cuts pieces for the guests will need a knife.

Oh, you mean on the wedding day it will also be a foam dummy?

Well, what about toothpicks/appetizer forks?

Correct, the only edible part on the wedding day will be the cake poppers. There will be a foam dummy covered in fondant at the wedding.
