Morning Brides! So my cousin sent me her cake vendor and she paid 1150$ for her cake. I remember there being soooooo much cake left! I know the cake is a focal point at the wedding but I cannot bring myself to paying so much. I do however want to do cupcakes. My wedding date is also my 35th bday so...
Morning Brides! So my cousin sent me her cake vendor and she paid 1150$ for her cake. I remember there being soooooo much cake left!

I know the cake is a focal point at the wedding but I cannot bring myself to paying so much. I do however want to do cupcakes.

My wedding date is also my 35th bday so I am thinking of a 2 their Vanilla( anniversary and Keylime cake( my bday cake) with vanilla cupcakes for about 90 guest. I am still unsure if I am doing a grroms cake.
What are you guys doing?

Not including the top layer. 40-55 people in the picture, but I added more cupcakes. Which bring the total to about 70 people. We’re also having a grooms cake as well.

I'm torn between a 3 tier cake and a 1 or 2 tier cake with a bunch of cupcakes under it much like the picture below. If I do go with the cake and cupcakes, I will have to do a 2 tier cake so we can keep the top layer for our 1 year anniversary and cut into the second tier for our cake cutting.

We paid $140 for this 6" cake. The gum paste flower was $49. And it had to be gluten free so that added to the cost. Another bakery quote over $300 for the same thing. Bakeries can vary so much.

Our sam's club cake for a 100 something! It was really good! But they don't deliver though. My day of coordinator brought it to the venue.

This is what my cake design will be. It is a 3 tiered cake with fondant covering with the gold leaf and no flowers on top. We are paying $500 including an anniversary tier because we didn’t want to save the top tier. But we also got quoted for the same cake $1200 at another bakery.

I'm loving to read your ideas & prices. Trying to figure out what we are doing. I did a tasting today, it was good but no WOW. Their prices are 4.95 to 5.95 per serving. Yes, a 4 tier cake for 98 would range about 600. The delivery fee is another 130. I'm at a loss & quickly losing days!! UGH!

I am actually going to do a two tier and then serve a sheet cake. They will both be baked by the baker I chose.

Also I was told to tell them I need the sheet cake for a party instead of wedding and it's much cheaper...smh! Not sure why but this means someone will need to pick up the sheet cake.
