Cake in the Face?

How do you feel about this? Everyone I know has been against it, but I found this idea on Pinterest. Some may think it is tacky, but it cant be worse than the money dance. I would just have to make sure that FH was the one with the most money 😂

Not only is it tacky, it’s horrifying to encourage the couple to duke it out with cake. Even in a playful way, I’ve always hated this. It seems so disrespectful.

I gotta agree with all these people as well. Me and my FH is dressed sharp and nice We would not want ANYTHING in our faces or clothes. It was like pulling teeth for me to even make a registry and that was only because MY GUESTS ASKED ME TO. I just want them to enjoy and celebrate my big day with me.

I don't think i'd want either of us getting cake in the face just because i wouldn't want my dress messed up or anything

It's a "know your crowd" type of thing. With my family, asking guests for money at the wedding is pretty rude so I wouldn't do this. If it's typical to have a money dance with your group, I assume this wouldn't bother them.

Very tacky and so is the money dance or honeymoon fund. I wouldnt want cake on my face or dress after what im paying. I guess its a know your crowd type of thing, if your crowd is tacky then it would fit great

My FH and I are doing this!

People might find this tacky but when you don't need a lot of physical gifts I think it's a fun way to ask money for the honeymoon instead of people just putting it in an envelope or on a tree or the money dance (which is kind of cringy to me).

All of my guests who know about it are so for it because they know FH
and I are competitive and fun. Honestly, even if I'm the one that gets
cake in my face FH will get it too and he has said if the roles are
reversed he would do the same thing.

If you're worried about messing up your makeup maybe ask your coordinator if it can be scheduled for the end of the night, that's what our coordinator said they usually do.

At the end of the day do what makes you happy. The wedding is for you two to celebrate your relationship, if this is the type of couple you are then do it.

How do I feel about this? I hate the idea of it, on several levels. I can't think of one single valid reason to do this.
