Cake help please

Christine, on May 14, 2019 at 10:08 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13
Hi everyone, here is my cake and I love it but I would like to add a little lavender to it to give it a little color but I’m very simple so nothing to crazy but I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

Add a few flowers to give it some color.

    I like the flowers ieda.

Also I've seen some bakers do "watercolor" finishes. Maybe that could be layered over the design part of your cake.

I agree with Mandy. A few flowers will just give it a little color to make it pop more.

Ignore everything about the cake besides the beading that separates the tiers. You could do that in lavender!

That’s a beautiful cake. My wedding is lavender and white so I am in the same boat as you. Maybe something like this

I would recommend flowers or just a simple bottom band in lavender. Like the bottom of each tier. Maybe a bottom pearl boarder in lavender instead of a band. Or you can even get the piping design on lavender. It won’t flow as well as the boarder but it could still look nice.

What about some real or fondant lavender stems just around the base or bases of each layer?

You could make the scroll work lavender.

You could add fresh lavender or Poseidon roses (light purple roses. I grow them. Ocean song, purple haze and love song would also fit the color. I bet the rose pictured is ocean song).

Or add an element like beading or ribbon that is purple to separately the tiers.

You could do flowers, or I am sure they have a pretty lavender luster dust that they could detail the scrolling with!

Flowers are an easy way to add a pop of color. I'd go that route.
