Cake Eating or Cake Smashing?

My FH and I discussed this and have agreed to feed each other only.. The idea of messing up my makeup and potentially hair when there is so much more night/photos left is not an option! I mean think about it.. a full smash would mean washing your face and I just paid for that! Haha!

Feeding it. I would not be ok with my fiance smashing it in my face neither would I do that to him.

I'm on the fence. I'd LOVE to smash it in his face but I can't give and not take and it costs a lot of money to make me look like I will on the day of haha

We are probably going to cut our cake but eat a donut 😂 we both don’t like cake.

He knows he’ll get punched if he smashes anything in my face and ruins my makeup 🙂

We just fed it to each other, I think smashing is disrespectful and immature.

The place I bought my dress from said that they would buy it back if I kept it in nice condition so no chancing getting cake on it! Other than that I wouldn’t mind as long as he could take a little back.

Mashing is terrible! Messy, tacky & kinda mean because it sometimes gets out of hand. Plus, I love the cute “feeding each other” pics.

We didn't do a cake cutting actually. I certainly would not have had any smashed in my face.

Eating
Our cake, my hair, make up and dress is all expensive so I'm not ruining anything on purpose.

I’m hoping for just feeding, I do not want cake on my dress or my makeup to be ruined.

No smashing. I hate that and so does my fiancee...I know some like it, but we aren't in that group...just tasting

There will be NO smashing. FH really, really wants to put itty bitty dollops of frosting on our noses and kiss it off, because he's an absolute sap, and I said I'm ok with that, but NO SMASHING.

Smashing is extremely juvenile and disrespectful. If you need to play with your food you are too young to be getting married

I want to smash it in his face but he said if I do that, He's going to smear the cake on my dress!!! He and I always mess with each other, but I know he's serious about doing that so we are going to feed each other the cake.

Also only eating, don't want my hair/makeup/dress ruined! I'd be upset if it got in my eyes and messed up my contacts. I feel like that would be my luck lol, and I don't want to have to be pulled away from the party to have to clean myself off.

However with this being said - I'm surprising FH with his groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner. So we'll do a cute little "practice run" of cutting the cake there, and that will be game on for the cake smashing!
