Before I give you a heart attack about the idea of DIYing my wedding dress, I want you to know that my grandmother is helping me, and what we can't do, her best friend who is a seamstress can.
So I made the mistake of conditionally falling in love with a dress (yikes.) I love my dress but it is strapless and when I tried it on at David's Bridal, the attendant tucked in some fake off-the-shoulder sleeves into the sides so I could see what it looked like with sleeves. I loved it! But the dress was already right at the cap of my budget. I figured I could possibly buy my own sleeves and my grandma and I could put them on. Now I am realizing that they are incredibly difficult to find, and on etsy they are selling them between $80 and $140.
Of course Davids Bridal had them but they do not seem to exist online, and I am worried that alterations won't sell me the sleeves without making me pay $100 per sleeve. Yikes!
Any suggestions on where I can find other sleeves? Or should I just get white lace and call it quits?
