Buying a wedding dress online?

I am currently looking at a wedding dress on ASOS for $150 and also one from Lulu’s for around $90. It would be amazing if I could spend less than $200 on a wedding dress. Wanted to get opinions on buying a cheap(ish) wedding gown online? Experiences? Maybe somebody has even bought one from those...

I got my wedding dress from LULU’s and it’s beautiful!! the quality is amazing, would of thought i spent over 1000 for my dress! I seen a similar dress from a designer that i originally was going to get that looks identical for a fraction of the cost.

I ordered this one and immediately sent it back. I think I don't like all lace sleeves on me.

Buying a wedding dress online is always extremely risky. You never know what you're going to get in terms of quality. Some get lucky, but a wedding dress isn't something I would gamble with. Plus, don't you want the experience of trying on dresses and finding the perfect one? Online, you won't even know how it will look on you until you get it. There are bridal shops that have $99 dresses, and at least with those you know what you're getting!!

I bought my dress from formaldressshops.com. According to their size chart, I should have been able to wear one size but ultimately had to send it back for the next size up. If you aren't familiar with how the particular brand fits, I'd consider the next size up and have it taken in if necessary. I paid about $250 all total. My dress was beautiful, for someone else. I had to settle for my 5th choice for various reasons. Either way, always check their return policy first and foremost.

I don’t know where I’m getting my wedding dress yet but I love ASOS. Have you checked out reviews or try-on-hauls on YouTube? There are a bunch!

Here’s one with dresses under $200:

Hi! I bought one online that was custom for $300, it looked terrible on me. Then I bought two on lulu's that were... o.k. I ended up returning them all and going to David's bridal. The feel of the fit, the support, and the material was a world of difference to be honest.

I would say do your research and review ebay and a few other websites like once wed. Research designers and KNOW your size for them as you know it runs 2-3 sizes difference. I have seen several former bridal shops use ebay as a way of liquidation. A used or new with tags, new without tags gown abound on ebay, you just need to know what you want and what you are looking for. Be warned that this WILL SUCK up a ton of time, but aren't there worse ways to surf the net? Smiley xd . Here is my dress. Not my first rodeo and the quality and craftsman ship is exquisite with the embroidered lace, color and scattered crystals. I knew my size as I measured myself per the instructions. The designer is Shail K. I paid $125 including shipping, the alterations - a minor repaid on an underarm seam and bustling (sweep train) cost me about $70. The seamstress who did the alterations was shocked at the price, and kept commenting on the quality of the material and embroidery. The retail on the dress was $500 and it fits perfectly. There were many many quality gowns on there.

What size and where are you? I have one I’m selling and could let it go for $200. Brand new never worn. With tags. Are we allowed to sell on here? Sorry if this violates. Feel free to remove. I have an extra dress. It ended up costing more to tailor so I was told to buy a new dress.

The retail on my dress was I think like $1900. I did not pay that much. But I did not pay $200 either.
