So I told her to get her husband to do it and take the blame, especially since he gave the cupcakes the name!

Maybe suggest they cut a small hole in the cupcakes, fill each hole with the chocolate pudding, then pipe a swirl on top? It'll still have the elements they want to make but will look way better. That's how I make filled cupcakes

EW, I mentioned cake because I am guessing the bride and even the groom would love a photo with a beautiful cake, even if only for fb purposes.

Also, her mil is notoriously famous for not bringing enough food so the cake would at least calm some hunger pangs (it's brunch). I suggested, too, that she get a few dozen bagels and say the kids wanted them.
