Bustle cost?

kaylarae, on October 2, 2014 at 8:31 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 24

If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost to have the bustle added to your dress?

What "style" of bustle was it and do you have any pics of it?

Thanks!

I just got a simple three point bustle and it was like $20 for those points, I think? I went to DB!

Okay so they're not typically an alteration that will break the bank? Haha I was worried ... The place I got my dress from said their seamstress started hemming at $200 so I was a little worried about other alterations.

Note I will not be having any alterations done at the shop, I'm taking my dress elsewhere

Mine is around$200. But there are multiple layers (lace). I don't have a photo as it's not done yet.

I have a modified American bustle. It technically has about 6 points, since there's so many tiers in my dress, but it all connects to look like there's one. It cost me 100 bucks.

I mean, at the very most when I was going with a difficult bustle of like 8 points, I think it was like $50 total.

That's what it used to look like before I changed it to a more simple bustle. C:

For my whole fitting it was $220 and she made me a hairpiece, did a bustle, and pretty much re constructed my whole dress! Where are you thinking of going?

My bustle was a tad pricey but thats because I have 13 points in mine, (its an over bustle). I have a large ball gown though so thats why.

The first three loops cost $50.

For 10 additional it cost $70.

So total it was $120 from Davids Bridal.

My 5-point bustle cost $90 at the boutique where I purchased my dress. I should have just walked around with the train down all night. ;-) I loved my train.

I didn't actually get one but it would have cost $40 for one layer of fabric to be bustled up.

Ok I thought getting a bustle would be really expensive. These prices are not bad at all!

I have a 10 point bustle (I have layers of fabric with extra layers of tulle) and it cost $150.00. I don't have a picture of the bustle as its still being worked on.

I had a large tulle dress and my mom did the bustling (don't have any photos at the moment of it bustled). I'm pretty sure it would have costed over $200+++ to have it done by a pro. My mom did 2 or 3 tiers of French bustles.
