Burgundy or Taupe?

I personally like the burgundy!!!

Taupe is a hard color for many women to wear.

I love darker colors, and they tend to go well with all skintones/undertones. The burgundy color is gorgeous in my opinion.

Discuss it with your girls/think about their coloring. I look like a burlap sack in taupe

Burgundy looks amazing on MOST skin tones. Taupe can make complexions appear sallow. Here’s a pic of my bridal party in Wine (burgundy). Their ethnicities range from Greek, Caucasian, Hispanic and Asian... the color livened up their skin tones and they all felt beautiful, which was a very important factor for my color decision.

I agree with PPs that burgundy tends to be more versatile and women would probably feel more comfortable wearing that than taupe.

I agree that taupe is often a difficult color for many to wear. It is, of course, ultimately your choice, but I’d say consider your maids’ coloring before you make a decision. Also—I just love the burgundy!! ☺️

I agree with Muriel. Taupe also makes it like they arent wearing anything at first glance....

Burgundy! I am extremely fair complected and I would look so washed out in taupe! I think taupe looks gorgeous on darker skin tones, but is definitely just a difficult color to pull off in general

You could do alternating colors and ask your bridesmaids for their opinion.
You could also choose one color for your bridesmaids and another for flower girls!

Burgundy is going to be my bridesmaid dress colors! If your bridesmaids have fair skin, I would go with burgundy.

Burgundy is my color so I'm biased. I don' like when bridesmaids almost match the bride. Don't you want to stand out? Feb wedding..6 wks. so it fits

Burgundy is a great color as it’s more versatile with different skin tones, but I also think burgundy is a beautiful complimenting color to a bride wearing white as it helps the bride stand out a little bit more.

My sister has used the same burgundy dress from her HS graduation for 2 weddings. I feel like for your BMs they would get more use out of a burgundy dress.

I’m doing beige! My bridesmaids range significantly in skin tone too! My sister is a pale redhead and I think the color still looks beautiful on her!
