Bulky dress

I put on my wedding dress today, just to make sure I wasn't gaining weight. With all the material it makes me look bulky in all the wrong places. Its an Aline/sort of fit and flare dress. Will alterations fix this? I'm contemplating on buying a more light weight dress because of this. I'm not used to looking thick, I've always been slim. I'm a size 0 but I bought a size 2 just in case. Maybe I'm growing into my adult body? Lol. Makes me kind of depressed. I didn't take a picture, sorry.

Honestly without a picture its difficult to give real advice on it.

I second @LittleDemon's suggestion of having a corset back added to it instead of a zipper back! Without pictures it is difficult to give any advice, but I'm sure that alterations can help. Tell them what you're insecure about and where, in sure it'll work out fine!
