Buffet Seating Plan?

We're doing assigned tables.

@Gin i I don't think its regional. I'm in NC and I've only been to 1 wedding with open seating. They had exactly as many chairs as guests, and my date and I ended up having to sit at separate tables. Not cool.

I love weddings with assigned tables, whether the meal is buffet or plated! It takes the pressure off from having to find a table where I can sit with the people I know because the couple already told me where I am supposed to sit, and assigned me to a table with mutual friends. I've also been to a number of weddings that had buffets and assigned tables, and it helped keep the buffet line organized. Tables were called up one or two at a time.
