Hey ladies,

Is it possible to have a wedding for 5,000? We will be together for 6 years by the time we get married and we dont need it to be a huge thing. Just a simple celebration of two people.

I was going for $5000 but it looks like it will be closer to $6000. I found an all inclusive place and am diy a lot. But yes I’d say it’s doable. My guest count is between 50-60.

It is totally, 100% doable. its extremely important, however, to search for deals. id say check out jjshouse, dressafford, hebeos, azazzie, davids bridal, etc. for a dress as they have a wide range of styles and sizes. decor you could probably find second-hand or on facebook marketplace for a doscounted price. you could go to michaels or hobby lobby and get a pre-made bouquet or, like myself, make your own out of their floral selection. try looking up on google "how to do a wedding on a budget" and itll bring up tons of budget-friendly ideas. good luck!!! 💕

I really wanted to stay within budget, but mine is getting close to 6000. Well its its just the wedding, not counting my wedding dress or the things i have to purchase, then yes, i am staying within budget. But with my stuff and his, it is going to 6000. I am trying to save as much as possible. So hopefully you don't make my same mistake and purchase 2 wedding dresses cause you never liked the one you purchased. So good luck.

It def is! It’s just you will have to cut costs and be more open to a lot. Finding deals is a option and diying. Which I heard could be a lot, so def get help where you can

It all depends on what you want really, where, when, who etc.

We are looking at $35,000 USD for 120+ people (160 invited) for a glitzy sit down reception with all the bells and whistles, but weddings can be of so many budgets.
First thing is first - if you get married on a weekday, most venues charge less than on a weekend

Definitely possible! Mine is less than $1000. We got a nice picnic shelter at a local park ($50) which is surrounded by trees and overlooks a lake. We got dresses on the cheaper side ($150 each) and just told our wedding party to wear “fall colors” (didn’t pick out anything for them). And we are having a potluck picnic reception; I’m making some sandwiches and a cheese board, my grandmother is making pasta salad, etc.

You can have a wedding for <$50 at the courthouse in most states. If you want to invite guests to a nice dinner afterwards, $5k should be very doable depending on your guest list.

Absolutely, depends on your location but if you can do the ceremony where you're staying, it's often free. You don't need an $$ photographer for 2, minimize the floral part, ask a Baker to make a cake topper sized cake for you two as ways to cut costs. I'm eloping at a destination location. We're flying on airline points. Free ceremony where we are staying. Cake from nearby grocery store. You can rent his formal wear. Lots of ways to cut corners...
