Budget

Not sure how much to set as our budget so I’m curious what is everyone spending on their weddings?

FH gave me $5000 for our budget minus my wedding dress and our rings, but I don’t think we will spend that much since our wedding is so small.

I always recommend doing some research on the pricing of vendors in your location charge to help set a realistic budget. That way you can figure out what works best for you with your wedding vision.

It can really range based off of area, number of guests, and your personal vision. I spent close to 35,000 all in but we had a lot of family support and wouldn’t have been able to do it without them. Our family wanted the big traditional wedding so they had no problems helping us out. Without family, we would have spent no more than 10,000 But everyone is different, and everyone’s ability to spend is different. Do what is best for you and your FH

We're spending 70k, which doesn't even include our honeymoon (haven't planned that out yet). We're paying for this entirely ourselves, split equally. I know this seems absurdly high, but here's the factors going into this.

    1. It's in San Francisco (we live 30 min south), which is super-expensive. We opted to do our wedding there because of the wide range of beautiful/interesting venues and and the convenience factor. Church, restaurant, and hotels are all within walking distance of each other.

    2. Our guest list is currently over 260 people (final count will probably be just over 200). I come from a very large Vietnamese Catholic family, so I am obligated to invite my extended family. My mom's side of the family alone is 120 people. It also was difficult finding a reception venue that would hold up to 250 people that wasn't a hotel or banquet hall.

    3. We wanted to prioritize things like clothes (I'll have 4 clothing changes, including a custom-made dress), makeup/hair, excellent food, and the theme (Star Wars).

Our budget is around $11-12k for 125 guests. We’ll be paying for most of our wedding. We booked a government building as our venue and it’s BYO food and drinks so we’ll be saving a lot of money that way Smiley smile

We are budgeting about $20k. That is excluding attire, rings & honeymoon. We are in Las Vegas & are inviting 100 guests.

We set our budget based on what we could save between our engagement & wedding (15 months). Plus, we included an upfront cash gift my mom gave us.

I’m in Atlanta and have my heart set on a specific venue, but most true Atlanta zip code venues tend to be 4-6k before catering or anything else is figured in. FH and I are looking at 25-30k not including my dress (I have my heart set on a Lazaro gown and I insist on fitting the bill for that myself) or our rings. We are inviting 160 but will most likely end up with 110-120.

We’re spending about 15k. That doesn’t include honeymoon, my dress, rehearsal dinner or catering for the reception. Our parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner and catering for reception and my grandmother paid for my dress.

Our budget is $10,000, but the all inclusive venue alone is $8,000. I think we’ll end up being a bit over budget but hopefully not too much!

10K but I haven't priced out anything yet since getting engaged last week lol. This is my 2nd marriage and my FH first so I'm fine eloping but he wants the traditional wedding. We will be paying for the wedding ourselves so we'll probably push out the date to 2021 to save.
